The Mommy’s Little Helper MargaritaPosted by: Lauren Parker-Gill on May 8th, 2013
Mothers’ Day should come once a MONTH, amirite? In my opinion, we do not get celebrated enough. I mean, this sh*t is HARD! On top of keeping our offspring fed, healthy and clean, we also have to grow them into responsible, well-adjusted adults. No pressure or anything. So for this week, I decided that we need something extra special to celebrate Mothers’ Day. I shall call this the Mommy’s Little Helper Margarita. It is a beautiful shade of purple, which represents royalty and wealth; because we should all be treated like the Queens we are on this day.
2 ounces of your favorite tequila
4 ounces of sweet and sour mix
6 ounces of raspberry liqueur
2 ounces of lime juice
2 ounces of cranberry juice
Lime slices for garnish
Depending on your preference, you can serve this frozen or on the rocks. For frozen, add all ingredients to a blender filled with ice and blend until smooth. If you’d like to serve it on the rocks, pour all ingredients over chopped ice in a cocktail shaker. This recipe makes 2 servings, so you may need to split it in half and do it twice. Shake very well and without straining, pour into your awaiting margarita glasses. Garnish with a lime and toast to surviving motherhood for another year. Happy Mothers’ Day!
