This weekend marks the unofficial start of summer, which thrills me to no end. I have finally stopped shivering and I am all kinds of ready to dip my toes in the sand and the sea. In fact, I’ll be doing that this weekend when I head to the beach for a Memorial Day party. And for that, I will be making a Red, White and Blue Sangria that I found on (where else???) Pinterest!
Pineapple, cut into star shapes
2 bottles dry white wine
1 cup triple sec
1/2 cup berry-flavored vodka
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup simple syrup
Combine all of the fruit in a large pitcher and then pour liquid ingredients over top—stir well, and then chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours. For best results, I recommend making this the morning of your gathering, to allow the fruit to infuse the wine, vodka and triple sec for as long as possible.
