We all have a story…this is just the first chapter of mine.

Parental Amnesia

My children are no longer toddlers, or preschoolers.  I’m solidly in the teen and tween years here.  I remember my children being younger, or at least I think I do but the reality is there’s a lot of amnesia that happens once your children outgrow a phase.

I remember someone telling me that we can only relate to the phase our children are in now, and the one they’re approaching.  Everything else is a blur we vaguely remember some details about.  I didn’t believe it at the time (I had a baby at the time!) but now I totally get it!
