A party isn’t a party without a signature cocktail (at least not in the land of Lauren) so when I recently needed one to offer my guests for a gathering, I went to Google and searched for recipes. Behold:
I shall call this “Pretty Little French Martini.” I like to name my drinks.
This tasty little beverage is nice, light and very refreshing. Also, I believe it is VERY healthy because of the pineapple juice (I like to look at the positive side of my beverages).
Want to make your own? Of COURSE you do! Here is what you’ll need:
Chambord (yum), vodka (yum), pineapple juice (also yum), blackberries for garnish, martini shaker, ice, and 2 pretty martini glasses. For best results, be sure all ingredients, are chilled; the alcohol, pineapple juice, even the blackberries and martini glasses.
I tweaked the original recipe, because it BARELY made enough for one glass and that made me sad! So I here’s MY version:
1.5 oz of Chambord
1.5 oz of vodka
4.5 oz of pineapple juice
Add the vodka, Chambord and pineapple juice. It won’t seem like a lot, but that’s okay! Shake the ingredients for at least 15 seconds; when shaken, the froth from the pineapple juice adds volume to the drink. Next, strain into chilled martini glasses, add blackberries for garnish and enjoy!
This cocktail was a huge hit at my party – in fact, I had 2 martini shakers going, just to keep up! If you try this recipe, please let me know – I’d also love to know if you make any variations to the recipe.
