Hump Day Cocktail: Vanilla Spiced Pear
Posted by: Lauren Parker-Gill on October 17th, 2012Give me a P: P! Give me an E: E! Give me an A: A! Give me an R: R! WHAT DOES THAT SPELL? PEAR! YEAAAAAAHHHHHHH! (I was a cheerleader in my previous life – I make no apologies for that.) So, can you guess what our next cocktail will be? The Vanilla Spiced Pear. This drink is so heavenly, I got a little carried away while trying it the other night and may or may not have downloaded several ringtones, along with a few ringback tones to my new iPhone. You have been warned. Proceed with caution, friends.
Ingredients:
2 shots of vanilla vodka
6 ounces of Pear Nectar
Ground cinnamon
Cinnamon stick (for garnish)
*Note – I had trouble finding the pear nectar at my local grocery store. As it turns out, it was not kept in the juice aisle, but in the Goya section. Go figure.
Directions:
Combine 6 ounces of pear nectar with 2 shots of vanilla vodka over ice in a shaker. Add a generous pinch of cinnamon and shake for 10 – 15 seconds. Pour into a chilled tumbler glass and garnish with a cinnamon stick. (The cinnamon stick can be reused for subsequent servings, so no need to replace it!) Seriously. This is so, so good.
Cheers!
