I found this punch recipe online while looking for spooky cocktails and it sounded delicious, if not dangerous. I changed it just a bit to suit my style, but have included possible substitutions.
2 liter bottle of lemon lime soda (or ginger ale)
1 packet of black cherry Kool-Aid mix
12 oz of chilled, mixed berries
12 ounces of Chambord liqueur
5 cups of white or silver rum, or vodka if preferred
*Optional – 1 packet of Pop Rocks Candy. We’ll talk about that later, bwahahahahaha!
Be sure to make this for a big crowd because, otherwise, it packs a powerful punch. Get it, GET IT?? For best results, make sure all ingredients are chilled. Mash or muddle the berries with the back of a spoon in your punchbowl. Then pour in the soda, Kool-Aid and alcohol – chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
*When your guests aren’t looking, pour in the Pop Rocks candy – they will snap, crackle and pop for several minutes! (I especially recommend doing this when someone who scares easily is nearby).
