We’re getting into sandal season and here’s a great foot scrub to slough off dead skin and get your feet ready for the warmer weather. I used to love brown sugar cinnamon pop tarts when I was younger and tried to get this scrub smelling as close to that as possible.
The smell is blissful and the cinnamon is naturally antibacterial for you feet. It also helps to revive tired, achy feet.
1 cup Epsom Salt
½ cup turbinado sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon cinnamon sugar fragrance oil
3 tablespoons light olive oil
In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients together with a fork. Mix until well combined. Put the foot scrub mixture in a clean container with a lid. It will keep up to 3-4 weeks when stored in a cool, dry place.
To use: I like using this scrub while sitting on the side of the tub. Take a dollop out (about a tablespoon) and gently rub into the bottom of your right foot. Rinse well. Gently scrub the other foot and rinse well. Pat feet dry. Apply moisturizer to feet, put your feet up for a minute, and enjoy this (hopefully) quiet time.
