Homeschooled as a teenager, Sharon Rawlette went on to get a Ph.D. in philosophy from New York University. She worked in New York, Boston, and Paris before moving back to rural Virginia where she now writes, teaches music, and helps raise her eleven-year-old stepdaughter.
