Anniversary Toast to What The Flicka!Posted by: Lauren Parker-Gill on March 1st, 2013
What the Flicka is 1 year old today! To celebrate this very special occasion, I am posting 2 birthday cake cocktail recipes – 1 chocolate and 1 vanilla, because it was too hard to choose between the two. Plus, what good is a birthday without a celebratory cocktail? NO GOOD! So gather your ingredients and get ready to mix up some delicious drinks while you join me in wishing What the Flicka a very happy birthday!
Chocolate Birthday Cake Martini
- 4 oz of Cake Vodka
- 2 oz of Chocolate Liqueur
- 2 oz of Half & Half (I use nonfat)
- Chocolate frosting
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Chocolate Sprinkles (optional)
Chill your martini glasses and when ready to serve, carefully rim them in chocolate frosting. Combine remaining ingredients in a martini shaker with ice and shake away. Strain and divide between 2 glasses, then top with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles. Voila!
Birthday Cake Martini
- 3 oz of Cake Vodka
- 2 oz of White Chocolate Liqueur
- 4 oz of Milk
- Vanilla Frosting
- Sprinkles in any/all colors
Chill your martini glasses and then rim them with the vanilla frosting. When ready, pour a whole lot sprinkles onto a flat plate and dip the frosting rimmed glasses into it. Next, mix all of your remaining ingredients in a martini shaker with ice and shake it like a polaroid picture. Carefully strain and pour into the center of the glasses, so you don’t mess up the sprinkles.
And now, join me in toasting to What the Flicka, a wonderful community for women and moms that started here just 1 year ago. Cheers!
